Public Contract Opportunities - A New Approach

Routes to contracting with the public sector for small businesses and third sector organisations A Programme of training events to take place around the UK during June 2008.

The aim of the training is to provide an overview of public sector procurement processes, training in tendering procedures, and to increase the awareness of third sector organisations and SMEs — so that they are better placed to respond to future procurements.

The expected outcomes are:

• increased understanding of procurement legislation and procedures;
• raising of awareness of how Third Sector and SMEs in the private sector can work together to deliver Public Services;
• and increased understanding of sub-contracting.

The events are designed to help organisations to engage effectively in future procurement such as Flexible New Deal.

• Guildford
• London (Euston)
• Manchester
• Newcastle
• York

The fee will be £35.25 (incl VAT) for each delegate. Two employees only will be accepted from each business or organisation.

Payment is required at the time of booking — NOT with pre-registration. Payment methods - payment must be received before the event — by cheque or electronically by credit or debit card (Paypal).
